Biography

I earned a B.S in Biology and M.S in Human Biology from Punjabi University, Patiala (India) and Bachelors in Education from Punjab University, Chandigarh (India). I taught Biology at the secondary level for two years in India. In my Master's program in Biology, I submitted a dissertation on the topic "Body Mass Index and Body Fat in two ethnic groups of Punjab range in age from 20-24 years" to Punjabi University, Patiala (India). It was a research work in which I studied 300 subjects to collect the data on their body measurements, and then applied appropriate statistics to compare their BMI's, bone mass, fat mass, and muscle mass etc.

In addition, I have passed the CBEST and CSET (Biology and Foundational level General science). I also possess the California 30 Day Substitute teaching Permit. I served as a substitute teacher in Anaheim Union High School District, and plan to teach Biology and Chemistry in future. This fall I will be in the second semester of Single Subject Teaching Credential in Biology and Foundational level General Science. For student teaching I am placed at Katella High School, Anaheim.

I am seeking a career which will provide me with an opportunity to implement my creative and innovative ideas in an educational set up that leads to strategic development and growth. I find great pleasure in interacting with students and love to rouse their curiosity for delving deep into the subject of study.
