TAPP - Teaching as A Primary Profession

TaPP Program
California State University Fullerton (CSUF) is collaborating with Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD), Mount San Antonio College (MSAC), and the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) to implement Teaching as a Primary Profession (TAPP) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics.

The TAPP Program is recruiting and supporting highly qualified secondary science teachers for Orange County through activities that (1) provide opportunities for students to enrich their understanding of the nature of scientific inquiry through research experiences in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or physics (2) develop pedagogical content knowledge with supported experiences in high school and college classrooms, and (3) facilitate the use of information, communication, and educational technologies to improve teaching and learning.

Scholarships will support those who are in the process or have completed a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or physics and will enroll in the CSUF secondary credential program with the intention of earning a teaching credential with authorization in California to teach both high school biology and chemistry, or chemistry and physics.
